EMS Winter Concert 2022
by Chase
The EMS Winter Concert has gone on an astounding 46 times! Students have not gone to the previous concerts for a few years due to the Pandemic. But this year at EMS, both parents and students are allowed to attend. Now let's hear what Mrs. Ohlinger has to say about this year's Winter Concert. “One thing that people can definitely expect this year is a wide variety of songs.” Another statement was made by Mrs. Ohlinger, who said, “There are many steps that were taken, such as getting students to be a part of chorus, purchasing music to even daily practices for months.”
Now let's hear some things from the students in the chorus. One student says, “My favorite part about chorus would be getting to hear when all of us do very well. I think that the concerts in the past have gone pretty well, but I've only been to a couple. If I had to change something about the concert, it would be to maybe not delay the song by a couple seconds.” Another student says, “I don't have an exact favorite part because I like it all equally. I don't think too much about the other concerts because I haven't attended any, but based on others, I'd say they went well. If I had to say I had an absolute favorite part of this year’s concert, I’d say it would be when we all go apart when singing and then join back together in almost perfect harmony and it sounds so angelic.”
Do you want to be a part of the chorus but think it's too late? Don't worry. Openings to be a part of the chorus will be held in January. It is very simple. You just have to arrive in the auditorium during PASS and then you will be added to the course in Schoology. There is, however, a catch. Chorus counts as a grade that will go on your report card and there will be mandatory days. Mandatory days can be excused with the use of a pass from a teacher to do things such as completing homework or retaking a test.
