Tech Ed

The school has had made many changes this year. Tech Ed is one of the many examples of this. We used to be able to build things out of wood and 3D printed designs we made. This year Mr. Miller had to change his whole plan. To start, he had to make sure that every student has the correct software on their computers. Mr. Miller also records himself and puts those videos on Schoology. This way students can watch the videos if they are stuck and do not have to wait for him to come around to them. They can also fast forward, pause, and rewind whenever they need to do so.
Mr. Miller is making sure that the online students are involved in many ways. If one project is 3D printing, then a student can design it on their laptop, send it to him in Schoology and then Mr. Miller can print it out for them.
Some projects for Tech Ed cannot be done as easily. This is because Mr. Miller has to make sure that everything in class can be done at home. Instead, we use the program SketchUp Design often. Mr. Miller has also put materials in the lobby for online students to come and pick up. This way everyone can have access to what they need.
