“The journey is never ending. There's always gonna be growth, improvement, adversity; you just gotta take it all in and do what's right, continue to grow, continue to live in the moment.” - Antonio Brown
The quote above represents the JH Boys soccer team. We grew as players, athletes and most importantly, good teammates within the past two years.
2022 was a rough year for the JH Boys soccer team. We were an incredibly young team and we had to learn how to play at eighth to ninth grade level due to everyone on our team being mostly seventh graders. Our record did not show our hard work. Even though we lost many games, we learned many new things and grew as players!
Now it is time to talk about this year. Let me start by saying, what an improvement! It seemed like everyone had grown as a player since last year. We introduced the new seventh graders to the team. We had an exceptionally good season, learned many new things about soccer, and had a fairly good record.
To conclude this article, the most important thing to remember is how much we improved. Improvement is an incredibly significant part of any sports team. There is always room to improve as a player, an athlete, a teammate, and a leader.
A special thanks to everyone who made this season possible!
