JA Inspire Day

On December 20, 2022, EMS students had a JA Inspire Day. On the schedule for that day, the students of 8th grade got to do and learn many things such as making a resume, learning how to work in a team, learning what to do before or during an interview, and finally learning how to budget. The assembly that started the day off was used to explain the various things that the students would do and to give thanks to the many volunteers that donated their time by coming into school that day.
Students rotated through their core classes to experience different activities. Now let's hear what some students learned about in 8th grade. One student said, “Well, instead of science, we had to work as a team to get points, and English was replaced with ‘Simon Says,’ but with things to do before during and after a interview, and math was replaced with budgeting and after finding out our budget, we got to spend money on things to improve life. Instead of social studies, we got to learn what to put on a resume and what is good or bad to put on it.” Another student said, “My favorite part of the day was working as a team to get points in science.”
