EMS Junior Varsity Girls Soccer
Staff Writer: Taylor
The Junior Varsity had a .500 season with 4 wins, and 4 losses. The Junior Varsity Captains were Laylah and Hannah, along with Breona and Taylor. Coach DeHaven said some things different in this soccer season for our school was that they all had to wear masks at the beginning of practice, and they had to social distance when traveling to the field, sitting on the bench, or waiting to play in the game. Masks were required whenever sitting along with social distancing. On the bus we had to wear masks and the coaches wore masks at all times. There were a lot less people trying out due to Covid-19, so they didn’t have to cut anyone off the team at tryouts. Coach DeHaven says that all the players improved, had fun and learned the importance of depending on each other to succeed... working together to make things happen.
